Client Overview: MoMA
SandenWolff has been a trusted partner of MoMA since 2021. At the height of the pandemic, we were charged with creating engaging long-form video programs that took the place of some of the most prestigious in-person events on MoMA’s calendar. Most recently, in 2025, we created a pair of films to honor departing director Glenn Lowry in celebration of his tenure as MoMA’s transformative leader over three decades.

Party in the Garden 2025: Honoring Glenn Lowry

In 2025, director Glenn Lowry concluded a 30-year run as the leader of the Museum of Modern Art and was honored at the museum’s annual Party in the Garden. We created two centerpiece films for the evening, one celebrating the man himself and the other detailing his indelible impact on one of the world’s most important museums. Both films featured a cast of very special friends of MoMA including Carrie Mae Weems, Mark Bradford, Liz Diller, Shirin Neshat, Doug Aitken, Walid Raad, Alex Katz, Latoya Ruby Frazier, Adam Pendleton, James Siena, and hosted by actor, director, and MoMA trustee Anna Deavere Smith.

Party in the Garden 2021

When in-person events were still off-limits during Covid, we created an hour-long virtual program to take the place MoMA's biggest fundraising night of the year. This “Party In the Garden” film featured intimate one-on-one profiles of their four artist honorees that year: writer/actor/director Anna Deavere Smith, artists Adam Pendleton and Cao Fei, and artist/filmmaker Garrett Bradley. The program also featured candid interviews with additional artists, curators, MoMA staff, and other VIPs in celebration of the honorees.
