Hugo Boss Prize 2020

The Hugo Boss Prize honors outstanding achievement in contemporary art, celebrating the work of remarkable artists whose practices are among the most innovative and influential of our time.

This series of videos taking us into the minds and practices of each nominee started right at the onset of the pandemic in 2020. Originally planned as in-person shoots in the studio with each artist, we immediately had to pivot. We worked to track down a reinvigorate a well of existing assets for each artist but also captured our own inspiration footage to create a new visual experience and thoughtful exploration of their work in the present moment.

We also conducted new audio-only interviews with each artist remotely for their locations around the globe.
